In the hard-nosed world of retail, the motors sector stands alone as a proving ground for effective radio advertising. We believe that on radio everything is possible and have created target busting campaigns for some of the largest motor groups in the country.

Add to that many years making creative campaigns for industry related clients such as insurance companies, rental firms and body shop franchises and we’re proud to say that when it comes to the motor industry we know what we’re talking about.

Property

Property advertising is incredibly image based but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work on radio.  We have harnessed radio’s power at delivering emotive messages to create a series of powerful campaigns.  We’ve even done research into which ads work best.

Leisure

Radio is rich in the ways it can use immediacy to sell. So when there are leisure and events opportunities, we craft commercials that capitalize on the very heart of radio’s unique charms.

Since we started 10 years ago, we have worked regularly for a good number of Europe’s film and games companies. We believe it’s because of our results based approach, tight project management abilities and world-class production standards.

For some reason we do scary very well. This commercial for Vivendi Universal was one of fifteen mixes we crafted with our client. Great game!

These commercials are an example of what can be achieved for a modest budget, and are examples of commercials designed to evoke the essence of a product while driving interest, sales and take up. (for the over 18’s of course)

Business Techniques

We are pioneers of how to make business to business work on radio. Using a well known figure from the city – Justin Frewen, we created these ads to make a big splash in the square mile. The advent of these commercials also gave the client coverage in the City Pages of the Telegraph.

de Cecco

The definitive name for quality pasta in the western world. We had fun meeting some near royalty status members of the de-cecco family, and the voice was one of their top chefs! Genuine Italian glamour through and through.

Travelodge

Working closely with their advertising agency, we had loads of fun crafting these high-performing radio commercials for Travelodge. Clear, simple, and to the point these delivered beyond all expectations – without taking themselves too seriously!

These award winning commercials voiced by Martin Clunes empowered and complimented direct mail shots in the broadsheets and FT.

Amongst our favourite ads and one of our favourite campaigns. We composed the music to really give a feel for the game.

Radio is an essential for the motor insurance industry. We worked with Esure’s national agency to craft these commercials for Esure. Many of the main insurance companies come to us to create their radio advertising.

Cloaca

They say that the feeling of theatre can’t be caught on film, but when we were asked to capture it on radio we rose to the challenge. With help from the star studded cast we recorded this commercial to great acclaim from the play’s producers.

Firmac Developments

Airpoint was a truly unique and innovative development from Firmac. To appeal to the young and innovative Bristol market, we used home grown comedy genius Justin Lee Collins to front the campaign.

Redrow Homes

There are hundreds of new developments opening throughout the UK every year, but not very many of them are on their own island. Knightstone Island was the perfect escapists paradise, which we reflected in the ads.

The vibrancy in the building was so great we just had to make it into a campaign. It really was such a good place to work, so we let the employees speak for themselves.

Principles for Men

We have worked over some years with Phillip Green’s Arcadia Group on many of their brands. In this campaign, using a local comedian, we got the men of Leeds to start thinking about how they dress to launch their new Principles For Men store.

To drive interest and tickets to the infamous Sunday Times Motor Show we created a campaign that would have both cut through and a clear response mechanism.

Powergen

To recruit people that don’t want to work “normal” hours, we had to appeal to their reasons why. This is just one in an extensive range of recruitment ads we’ve done for the energy supplier.

Tell No-one

Adapted from the Harlan Coben best seller, Tell No-One was a full force Hollywood thriller with the subtlety of French cinema.
This campaign consisted of two commercials that promoted what was potentially a niche market film to a mainstream audience, all without alienating the former.

Indespension

With a network of outlets across the country, Indespension needed a radio campaign that would have national appeal while still pushing footfall to individual sites.

The solution was a tool kit of commercials that could be tagged and controlled locally. This gave control of what was aired to the local management while brand control remained central.

Howarth Homes

Aimed at property investors, Howarth Homes aimed to get advance sales of their new development in Uxbridge. By promoting an open day to the London business community, the entire development was sold out in the first weekend.

Providing free chart music downloads, We7 needed tailored introductions to each piece of music on their site. We created a suite of strong branding idents that lead seemlessly in to any track that the user downloaded.

Thomson Local

Thomson Local needed a campaign that promoted their new partnership with Nectar points. They reward people who call listed businesses with nectar points. To run alongside a B2C campaign that promoted this to consumers, a twin message to businesses was created in the same style.

Access Self Storage

Radio and press are a very powerful combination. Both are very high reach media, with such huge differences that they work perfectly when used in tandem.
Access Self Storage wanted to make the most of radio’s ability to ‘lift press off the page’ and we delivered. This campaign perfectly reflected Access Self Storage’s press creative, creating a strong multiplier effect which led to a massive increase in sales and inquiries.

Train To Gain

A skilled workforce is a useful thing to any employer. This campaign ran across the South East promoting the Train To Gain government initiative to businesses who would like free advice on how to train up their existing staff base.

The campaign was running at the same time as the national TV and on-line campaign that used hands to create different images with the tagline “The future – It’s in our hands”. The challenge was how to re-create this without visuals. The composition of a music track using only hand claps and finger clicks was incredibly successful and picked up by the national office and rolled out across all media as a mandatory audio inclusion.

Farnborough Air Show

One of the most famous air shows in the world, Farnborough Air Show, have used our creative and production services since the company’s inception. Run bi-annually, each show attracts upwards of 50,000 visitors in the two public days on the show.

PRS

Any business that plays music to it’s staff or the public has to have a PRS license. If they’re found to not have one, fines can be imposed, but this wasn’t the angle that the client wanted to take. This campaign appealed to people conscience by telling them what their PRS license fee goes towards – composers and songwriters. This was done by creating a musical message of what the world would be like without music.

REC

All the best horror movies come from independent houses and Rec was no exception. Filmed on a tight budget in Spanish, Rec shocked audiences across Europe before coming to our shores. In order not to bill it is as foreign language film we were asked to not include any elements from the film that included speech. With lots of screaming and running about, this was most of the film so we conjured an ingenious plan to draw audiences in.

Scarface – The World Is Yours

Rather than being the computer game of the film, Scarface – The World Is Yours was a sequel to the now iconic movie. Using elements from the film soundtrack together with specially recorded lines from the game, we created the feeling of a movie sequel and then invited players to take part. The campaign was so well liked with the games manufacturers, that they used our soundscape to form the base of the campaign as it rolled out across Europe.

Mr Magorium’s Wonder Emporium

The Christmas film of 2007, Mr Magorium’s Wonder Emporium was a family movie filled with magic and spectacle. In a series of 10” and 30” executions, we captured that wonder and pulled audiences to cinemas in their thousands.

Cabaret

Theatres are increasingly using celebrities to raise the profile of their shows. When Julian Clary was cast to play the role of Emcee, we were delighted to bring his personality to the fore on air. This highly distinctive campaign created great cut-through on air and generated a huge sense of buzz around the show. The theatre consequently saw a massive up swell in interest and a massive increase in bums on seats.

Our writers are experts in selling property on the radio. Fairview Homes have experienced huge sales due to their radio campaigns and are increasingly using radio to launch their new developments and promote specific offers.

Working as an RAC Patroller is a very specific set of skills. This gave us a lot of information that needed to get across. We managed to minimize this “list” approach to recruitment advertising by using a bespoke soundscape to convey part of the message.

As one of the UK’s most popular female fashion chains, Dorothy Perkins regularly advertise their sales and promotions on the radio. With a carefully honed creative approach, we regularly capture the imagination of their target audience and consequently generate an huge increase in sales.

Man To Man With Dean Learner

With an impressive cult following, Man To Man was released on DVD by Channel 4. We were honored to work directly with the shows writer, director and star Richard Ayoade at every stage of the production. The end result was an impressive set of commercials that kept in line with the characters in the show.

Every year, universities and colleges clamor for applicants. With a great reputation and campuses in some of the most beautiful locations in the country, CCCU has more to offer than most.

Skins

Skins was a massive hit on TV and was released on DVD to great anticipation. A short campaign that echoed the now famous “party” promo of the original series saw sales hit 24,000 in it’s first week.
